Hello and welcome to my gallery, agrumpycow photography!
My name is Claire and I live in the south of England. Here is a collection of the photographs I have taken of British flora, fauna and countryside, the majority in my local patch but also those taken on my travels throughout the UK, plus a few non-natives from zoos, collections & cultivated plants etc.
I first became interested in British wildlife after buying my first 'decent' digital camera in 2006. Through help identifying my subjects by the community at wildaboutbritain.co.uk my interest grew and I progressed to the camera I use now: a Panasonic DMC-FZ18, not a particularly sophisticated model but all I need nevertheless. The majority of my photos are taken in 'auto' mode and then edited with Microsoft Picture It and Picasa.
Although I don't specialise in a particular area my favourite subjects to photograph are landscapes and wildflowers - the fact that, on the whole, they stay still and don't move has a lot to do with this!
While my photos are not of the quality of those with better equipment I hope you find them interesting.
